if I only had a brain

by Mrs_F @ 2007-03-24 - 14:39:10

Not only do I look like the scarecrow from Wizard of Oz this morning but also I appear to have mislaid my brain (ahem). >:-[

Anyway after a healthy breakfast of black pudding, fried potatoes, fried egg and a bagel (Nick ate my bacon 'cos I was full up and he grudged it to the cat), coffee, champagne and vodka, I am now ready to face the day. :D

We are just off to the shops to look for a new brain for me and some last minute things and probably a Thai lunch with the Moff as she is going back to the chilly North.

Old Nick has to go home to pack some pants and armani so he can't come with us today.:lalala:

Bye now.

Christ I feel rough, I am too old for this lark.

Pultney Bridge by Moonlight for Meno

by Mrs_F @ 2007-03-24 - 01:12:05

moonlight on water

This is Pultney Bridge in Bath over the River Avon. Allegedly it is the twin of Ponte Vechio (designed by the same geeza I fink, would ask Moff but she is a kip). It also has shops and things on it and is a good place to visit if and when you ever cross the herring pond again and decide to go to Bath. In particular it has an excellent Indian Restaurant called Raj Poot which is down underneath street level inside the bridge in an old wine cellar. They have little sections inside (Little India and India Cottage) and some of them only have one or two tables so you can experience a very intimate and romantic evening but you have to specify when you book. Bizarely there is another Raj Poot above it but it is a balti house and is good in its own way but is not the one I mean.

Quick Mr S the Sky is boiling over

by Mrs_F @ 2007-03-22 - 07:21:49

Well this is how it is.

I was lounging in bed drinking my coffee and thinking about the day ahead:yawn: The cat was sitting on the window sill staring out into the garden and complaining that he wanted out to get the birdies |-| and I looked out of the window and I thought. Wow! 8|

So I grabbed the camera and said "Quick Mr S, the sky is boiling over." I was a second late to capture it at its peak and of course you can only see the colours and not the movement of the clouds but it is still pretty amazing I think and you can get the idea. B)

Hope you all have a good and safe day.

Now that is more like it

by Mrs_F @ 2007-03-13 - 07:32:45

Goodmorning blog world. Hope you all had a pleasant night.

I was a bit quicker on the draw with the camera this morning and so got the full effect unlike yesterday when I just missed it at its peak.
Now that is more like it

I have been assisted in typing this message to you by a plump female tabby cat who is trying to sit on the keyboard. Gerofff pusskat

Hope you all have a lovely day.
