Brenda's boat

by Mrs_F @ 2007-05-30 - 23:48:52

Well we went to Leith today. I had heard good reports of excellent fish food restaurants and so forth although Mezza had given me his opinion that it was basically a shopping centre Ocean terminal somewhat like Thurrock. But did I listen NO!!!!!!

Anyway it was not so great. After 45 mins on the bus stuck in traffic we arrived and it was indeed a building site and a shopping centre. We had a fairly nice lunch over looking the ex Royal Yacht Britannia. Mr S had a mega burger and Moff and I had Jambalaya (But MR S makes it better).

Then cos we missed Cap'n Nick we went to see Pirates of the Carribean. Very Piratey! Yummm 3 hours of Johnny Depp :>> ( I swear Keira Knightly was even thinner and blonder by the end of the movie - shame she used to be so natural looking oh well another victim of fame).

Good movie except for the mawkish bit after the credits - wot the hell?

Pasta in the flat tonight Mr S style, with wine and garlic bread and then a mini pub crawl, Pear tree (cos it is pretty) ensign (because Mr S loves it) and Glenhas because we want to blog.

Night night have pleasant dreams.

Sunday Sunday

by Mrs_F @ 2007-05-13 - 07:59:24

Well it is Sunday already the weekend has just flown past again. 8|

I am annoyed that it is still raining and am beginning to feel a bit claustrophobic. God a bit of a headache too, partly due to the opressive atmospherics and partly due to hayfever. For some reason I have been wide awake since 5 am but I am now feeling sleepy which is useful and typical as I have stuff I need to do. May have to take a hayfever tablet but hate how thick they make my head feel. :(

We are off out for Sunday curry "buffet" lunch with Mr Wolf and Mr S today which is something to look forward to. :> I hope the weather clears up by the afternoon as it would be good to go for a nice long walk after lunch to undo some of the damage done by over eating.|-|

Hope you all have a good day.

:)

Rain, rain.....

patioAll this rain.

Yes it is good for the garden and bad for me.

Here is a picture of my patio where I had hoped to sit today

Farmer's market

by Mrs_F @ 2007-05-06 - 11:55:11

Today I went to the Farmer's market with Mr S. We bought some extra matured and some smoked poachers cheese and Mr S bought some black bacon and some hot smoked ostrich 8|to share with Old Nick next weekend (I think I may pass on this).

We also bought some of the nice apple juice (not cider this time -really), although, I confess there is in fact a bottle (or 2) of Old Rosie in the kitchen and I may bring it out presently and pull up a chair next to the Mock Orange for half an hour or so if it is warm enough out there. :>

But we also bought a tray of marigolds which Mr S has just put in this "jumble of pots
marigolds
and some Bizzie Lizzies which he has put in the strawberry pot B)

Mr P watched all these proceedings with great contempt, suspicion and disapproval. He perceives gardening to be highly pointless.

Mr P

Have a lovely Sunday.
